EGYPT IS HAVING HER SURGERY!

I feel like a worried Mother. Egypt has been here since she was 12 weeks old and is now an adult dog, unwanted, unadopted. Every day we hope that someone will see what we see in her. Though sensitive, she is sweet and gentle and gets along with a house full of cats. So as if not having a home of her own wasn't enough, she now has hip dysplasia. Though not common in this breed, she is a Pit mix which is probably why she ended up with this horrible condition. Today she went in for her surgery and though we know she's in good hands with our long time vet, we are still sad for her. She won't be home until tomorrow but for tonight will be probably wondering what's going on. But we do have all of our Facebook fans to thank for raising the funds to get this very expensive surgery done. Egypt is such a big part of our family. Now hopefully she'll become a part of someone else's and get a home of her very own.

  2. How interesting that I finally got a chance to look at your website. I am constantly "shopping" for dogs and other critters and I love pitties. As I was looking through your page of adoptable dogs, I actually zoned in on Egypt as the dog I would to adopt if I were in a position to get another one...

She looks like a very sweet and is absolutely gorgeous. I hope she came thru her surgery with flying colors and finds a loving home soon <3

  4. Been on maternity leave and always have the tv on - and came across your show. I love watching and finally came online to check out your website. What you do is amazing.

We have three dogs right now, which is our limit, despite always taking in the local strays. I've been lucky enough to always find good homes for them, even when I wish we could afford to keep them ourselves.

When we are looking for a new dog to find a permanent home with us we are seriously considering coming to visit you. We'd be a tough case, kids and cats and other dogs - but we believe it would be worth it.

Egypt would be perfect for us. I hope her permanent home comes along soon.

  5. I would be very interested in coming out to meet Egypt. I have another submissive female pittie and a very annoying cat who thinks she is a dog. Would Egypt fit in???
